Pelleve is a relatively new system that promises to ‘iron’ away the wrinkles. Its hand piece delivers constant gradual radiofrequency energy to the skin and the resultant heat under the surface of the skin stimulates collagen production and causes the skin to tighten up.
Pelleve: Am I suitable?
Suitable for most people who are looking for skin tightening of the jowls, forehead, neck or cheeks. It can also produce a tightening effect around the eyes.
Pelleve: What do I have to do to prepare?
No preparation necessary with Pelleve treatment.
Pelleve: What’s the treatment like?
A full facial treatment will typically take from 45 minutes to an hour. First, a protective gel is applied to the face and then the Pelleve hand piece is run over the skin in a sweeping motion. The patient acts as the guide; there is a deep, warming sensation initially which gradually grows hotter and you inform the practitioner when it becomes uncomfortable. The practitioner then moves onto a new area.
Pelleve: What about after?
No downtime – there may be a small amount of swelling or redness but it will disappear within a few hours. The effects may be immediate after just one Pelleve treatment, but they continue to improve for us to six months post treatment as the body produces new collagen. Additional treatments may be recommended to get the best results.
Pelleve: Are there any risks or side effects?
Any side effects of Pelleve are temporary and minimal.
Pelleve: What will it cost me?
Pelleve treatments cost from £600 approximately.
